That was a question I had ever thought about. Personally, as long as the girl isn't taller than me, I'm fine with it. Well, I just can't imagine standing beside my girlfriend and looking shorter; I would feel inferior!
You could say its an ego trip and I wouldn't disagree. So, it would be suffice to say that I would not go after any girls who are taller than 1.79m (or 1.8m as I always fondly declare, for convenience that is).
I used to think I would only want someone around my height as my other half. But now, I think it's no longer an issue. Both are equally nice, with its fair share of pros and cons. Haha.

So a few different opinions from the guys' perspectives that I can see:
(1) One of his response was "I thought usually it was the girls who mind. if she's ok with me being shorter than she is, i'm cool with it." (Anonymous Friend from similar discussion, 2008)
(2) "Personally, as long as the girl isn't taller than me, I'm fine with it." (Lua, 2008).

i personally wun date someone taller. (there arnt many).
we shldnt add height to the list of ALREADY long criteria for a partner.

my heels are not tat high.. 3 inches only.. any lower is not nice.. i think max i can go is 4inches.. 5inches stuff are murderers.. :)
