Tal Ben Haim has been identified as the Chelsea player who collided with Petr Cech during training on Sunday, causing the goalkeeper to be rushed to hospital.
It is understood that Cech required 50 stitches and it remains doubtful whether he will be able to return this season.
According to The Daily Mail, 'Cech was wearing his skull cap at the time the incident happened but it offered no protection as the wound was on the part of his face which is not covered.
